300 Marine street line drawing
I created a line drawing in adobe illustrator using my home as the reference. This project went by fairly quickly since adobe transform effect allows you to quickly repeat shapes.

I was asked to edit an image purchased from istock. I have always liked the challenge of having to adapt to a different designers style and having to work in their way of doing things.

This is the image after the edits requested, i was not happy with the way the smaller arteries came out. i should have remade them from scratch but time was not there to put in the time i would have liked. I was happy with the pulmonary artery addition/edits.

This is one of many drawings i need to make for a project. I am working on adobe draw, saving preset colors and working only of those for each drawing. This series of drawings are been exported to adobe illustrator to be placed in a layout and used as smart object in web mockups.
20 minute illustration
Just a quick post today. i am creating a series of small simple medical graphics. Speed is important since there are many images to create so its all about finding the fastest way to re-create/communicate the same idea from a source graphic.

I was not happy with how this particular email responds. Is best to turn off the first two images upon responding to mobile devices due to space and treatment of type.

Redoing low resolution graphic in illustrator
I am constantly been asked to re-create something. And it is always a low resolution photo that has a graphic which was lost and in need in high resolution replacement. It is in these situations that i find attention to lights/shadows and details created via the appearance panel really come in to play.

To recreate a graphic like this you need to have several different pallet windows out in illustrator. You need to be able to adjust the art as you are working, zoom in, and take creative liberty here and there to make it look sharp.

My advance training in illustrator continues. The new versions of adobe tools are been released faster than Lynda can develop new courses. Because of this, they created a "CC updates" section for just new features of illustrator to inform about new features ( I have completed that training). This 2015 advanced training is the latest version of illustrator for which there is an advance training course training for. So i will continue with the 12 hours of training. They mentioned a master course, i however don't see it on Lynda.
Anyhow, just to post my journey, lol. I am about 70% done and in the current section i learned, in detail, the 22 harmony rules colors, how to make your own harmony rules and how to now recolor your artwork recolor command. I can't even keep track of how many times i have had to re-brand the same graphic over and over. With this tool the work is cut to seconds with just one option to work from. You can quickly change the colors of the illustration from one panel without having to go anywhere else.
Human spine as brush in adobe illustrator
I was asked to created simple illustrations that show a young child and how a specific disease would affect his spine. I took a simple vector drawing of a spine, made it a brush and drew a line on each child outline. I bended the line per directions and than applied the bush style. It was a really fast way to accomplished this task.
